Peeling is a procedure which consists in removing either the entire layer of epidermis or a part of it. The results vary depending on the chemical composition, concentration and power of the acids used in the treatment. Peeling is not only about removing the skin.
The positive effects of medical peeling:
- stimulates cell regeneration (which improves the skin’s density and tightens it)
- makes wrinkles and scars (e.g. post-acne scars) more shallow
- prevents wrinkle formation and skin aging
- brightens up the skin and makes its coloration more even
- stops seborrhoea
- closes the pores
