It is a surface peel, containing 25-30% of salicylic acid. It is helpful in treating acne, as it dissolves the intercellular cement, regulates sebum production and has a comedolytic and antibacterial effect. It is especially recommended as a method of treating common acne, papulous acne and acne punctata. Salicylic peel consists in the removal of the mixture of corneocytes and epidermal lipids. Additionally, it has an anti-inflammatory and antibacterial effect.
